Robyn Peterman-Zahn, NYT and USA Today best-selling author, writes because the people inside her head won’t leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. She writes snarky, sexy, funny paranormal romance.
Her addictions include laughing really hard with friends, shoes (the expensive kind), Target, Coke (the drink, not the drug LOL) with extra ice in a Yeti cup, bejeweled reading glasses, reading, her kids, her super-hot hubby, and collecting stray animals.
A former professional actress, with Broadway, film, and T.V. credits, she now lives in the South with her family and too many animals to count. Writing gives her peace and makes her whole, plus having a job where she can work in her sweatpants works really well for her.

The 2024 Night of Vonnegut Gala is an essential fundraising event that directly supports the mission and programs of KVML.
On November 10, 2024, we invite you to join us at the Fishers Art Center not just to celebrate Kurt’s Birthday but to contribute to the ongoing success of KVML.
This year’s theme—a black-tie-optional birthday cocktail party—sets the stage for a night of laughter, inspiration, and most importantly, meaningful support.

KVML continues Vonnegut’s fight against censorship and supports language, visual arts, and humanities education through programs and educational engagements for all ages. We also promote social justice and civic engagement, including addressing the needs of those struggling with mental health issues.
Kurt Vonnegut’s military experience and honest portrayal of war is honored by serving military veterans through writing workshops, discussions, and art exhibits.
KVML is also an inspiring and relaxing place to spend an afternoon or an upbeat place to spend an evening listening to live jazz, lectures, discussions, book release parties, and more.
From teaching Indianapolis Public School (IPS) students writing skills through our mentor program to trumpeting First Amendment rights locally and nationally through educating people about free speech and offering free copies of Slaughterhouse-Five to students, creating spaces for open dialogues, or hosting teacher workshops, KVML is recognized as a force for good locally and nationally.
We share the diverse history of our building and the legacy of Indiana Avenue’s black history. This community gathering space hosts humanities programming and discussions both in-person and virtually to welcome Vonnegutians nationwide into our home.
